Terms of Service
Effective October 13, 2026
These terms are the agreement between DocumentorAI and the business that subscribes to it. We've tried to keep them short and readable.
1. Who we are and who these terms cover
DocumentorAI is operated by Jonah Kutikov, a sole proprietor based in New Jersey ("DocumentorAI", "we", "us"). These terms apply to any business or person that subscribes to or uses the DocumentorAI service ("you", the "Client"). By subscribing, paying for, or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you're agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you're authorized to do so.
2. The service
DocumentorAI provides a hosted AI chat assistant that answers your website visitors' questions using documents and settings you provide (the "Service"). It includes the chat widget you embed on your site, an admin panel for your settings, knowledge base and conversation history, and the hosting that runs it. We set up and configure the Service for you when you subscribe.
3. Your admin access
We give you an admin password for your assistant. Keep it confidential. You're responsible for activity that happens using it, and you should tell us promptly if you think it has been exposed so we can change it.
4. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Plans and prices are listed on our pricing page. Fees are billed monthly in advance.
- All plans are month-to-month. You can cancel anytime by emailing jonahkutikov@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and there are no cancellation fees. We don't refund partial months.
- The Starter plan includes up to 500 conversations per month. A conversation is one visitor's chat session in which they send at least one message. If you regularly go over your allowance, we'll contact you about moving to a plan that fits. We won't switch off your assistant for going over without talking to you first.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next billing period after the notice period.
5. Your content
You own the documents, settings and branding you give us, and the conversations between your visitors and your assistant ("Client Content"). You give us permission to store, process and transmit Client Content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service, including sending it to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
You confirm that you have the right to use the content you upload, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. Please don't upload, or design your assistant to collect, sensitive information such as health records, payment card or bank account numbers, government ID numbers, passwords, or information about children, unless we've agreed to it in writing.
6. Your visitors
Your assistant runs on your website, so you're responsible for your relationship with your visitors. That includes telling them, in your own privacy notice, that your site uses a third-party AI chat service, and meeting any legal obligations that apply to your business and your visitors. The widget itself tells visitors they're talking to an AI assistant.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break the law, or to deceive, harass or harm anyone;
- present the assistant's answers as professional legal, medical, financial or safety advice;
- interfere with the Service, probe or bypass its security or usage limits, or overload it;
- resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties without our written agreement.
We may suspend an assistant that's being used in breach of this section or that is under active abuse, and we'll tell you when we do.
8. AI-generated answers
Answers are generated automatically by AI models based on your documents. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and we don't review individual answers. You're responsible for the accuracy of the documents you provide and for checking how the assistant represents your business. Don't rely on it for anything where a mistake could cause serious harm.
9. Support and availability
We provide support by email. On the Pro plan, "priority support" means your requests are handled ahead of Starter requests. Support is provided on a best-effort basis and there is no guaranteed response time.
We work to keep the Service available and we monitor it, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted operation. It may be unavailable during maintenance or because of problems with the providers we rely on. The Service also has built-in safety limits on usage that can temporarily pause replies during unusual traffic.
10. Intellectual property
We own the Service, including the software, chat widget, admin panel and our branding. You own Client Content and your own branding. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.
11. Disclaimer
Except as expressly stated in these terms, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising out of these terms or the Service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Indemnity
You'll defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Client Content or from your use of the Service in breach of these terms.
14. Ending the service
You can cancel as described in section 4. We can end the Service with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you materially breach these terms or don't pay. When the Service ends, we delete your documents, settings and conversation history within 30 days. If you'd like a copy of your conversation history first, ask us before your service ends.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
